This Privacy Policy explains what information ParkForLater collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. What we collect

We collect only what we need to run the Service for you:

• Account info — email address, username, and a hashed password (handled by our auth provider, Supabase).
• Your library — the links, notes, and tags you save.
• Link preview data — when you save a URL, we fetch its public page metadata (title, description, thumbnail) so we can render a preview in your library.
• Operational logs — IP address, user agent, and request paths needed to operate the Service, prevent abuse, and debug issues. These are retained for a limited period.

2. What we do not collect

• We do not track you across other websites.
• We do not sell or rent your personal information.
• We do not run third-party advertising on the Service.

3. How we use your information

• To provide, secure, and improve the Service.
• To send transactional email (verification, password reset, account notices).
• To investigate abuse and enforce our Terms.
• To comply with legal obligations.

4. Who we share with

We share information only with the service providers we need to run the product:

• Supabase — database hosting and authentication.
• Vercel — application hosting.

We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect the safety of users or the Service.

5. Data retention

We keep account data and Your Content for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove Your Content from active systems within a reasonable period. Backup copies may persist for a limited window before being overwritten.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can:

• Export or view your data from Settings.
• Delete your account at any time from Settings.
• Email privacy@parkforlater.com with any other privacy request.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS in transit and encrypted storage at rest. No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and notify you of material breaches as required by law.

8. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us.

9. International users

We process data in the United States. If you use the Service from another country, you consent to that transfer.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email or in-product notice.
